They also have a meaty flavor with a hint of earthiness that elevates any dish to a new level. Mushrooms are packed with some important B vitamins such as riboflavin and niacin as well as essential minerals. Since they're from plant kingdom, mushrooms are naturally cholesterol free and low in fat.
